Elected Officials

Green Forest is governed by a Mayor and four City Council members, each representing a District. The Mayor serves a four-year term and the Council a two-year term. The Mayor and Council oversee town departments. City Council meets the first Monday of every month for Agenda Meeting and the second Monday for City Council Meeting at 7:00 pm in court chambers.

RICHARD DEWEESE, MAYOR

Richard is a lifelong resident of Green Forest. He is employed
at Mike Jones Plumbing.

MIKE MILLER, CITY COUNCIL

Mike Miller has lived in Green Forest the past 30 years. He has been employed by Tanner Hardware for the last 25 years.

JANELL COMPTON, RECORDER/TREASURER

Janell is a lifelong resident of Green Forest. She was elected to her position since 1988 and held the position ever since. She owns and operates Unique Linen in Green Forest.

DAVID GARRETT, COUNCIL MEMBER

David has been on the city council since December, 2005. He
owns and operates his own business, Garrett Spraying.

WILLA KERBY, COUNCIL MEMBER

Willa has been on the city council since July, 2005. She owns
and operates her own business, The Country Rooster.

JANET JONES

Janet was appointed to the city council Monday, November 13th. She is currently involved in our ACE Committee.
